Terms of Service

Last updated — 2026-07-07

These terms govern your use of Clepse, operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], Finland("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. The service

Clepse generates videos from topics, scripts, or voiceover audio you provide. Generation uses third-party AI models for transcription, writing, imagery, and speech synthesis. Features, formats, and pricing may evolve over time.

2. Accounts

  • You sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping access to it secure.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to use the service.
  • One account is for one person. Do not share, sell, or transfer your account.

3. Credits, subscriptions, and payment

  • All purchases are processed by Paddleas Merchant of Record. Your payment contract is with Paddle, and Paddle's buyer terms apply at checkout. We never receive your card details.
  • Video generation consumes credits. Credit rates per video minute vary by format and are shown on the Pricing page before you generate.
  • Credits are tied to your account: they are non-transferable, have no cash value, and cannot be redeemed for money except as described in the refund policy.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period and add credits to your balance. You can cancel any time via the Paddle customer portal (Manage subscription on the Pricing page); cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period and already-granted credits remain.
  • Refunds and cancellations are described in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

4. EU right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal. By purchasing credits you expressly request immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose the withdrawal right for credits you have already spent. Paddle's checkout collects this consent. Details in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

5. Your content and license

  • You own the content you provide (topics, scripts, voiceovers, images) and, as between you and us, the videos the service generates for you.
  • You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, and transmit your content — including to the third-party AI providers listed in the Privacy Policy — solely to operate and provide the service.
  • You are responsible for having the necessary rights to everything you upload or reference, including voiceover recordings, images, music, and third-party material.
  • Outputs are produced by AI models: similar or identical outputs may be generated for other users, and the terms of the underlying model providers may affect certain uses.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to create, upload, or distribute:

  • Content that is unlawful in your jurisdiction or ours, or that promotes illegal activity.
  • Deceptive synthetic media: impersonation of real persons, or realistic depictions of identifiable people presented as authentic without their consent.
  • Content that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights of others.
  • Sexual content involving minors — zero tolerance; such content is reported to authorities.
  • Harassment, incitement to violence, fraud, scams, or spam.

You also agree not to:

  • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent rate limits, quotas, or credit accounting.
  • Probe, disrupt, or reverse engineer the service.
  • Resell or provide automated third-party access to the service without our written consent.

We may remove content, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate this section. We do not pre-screen generations, but we act on violations we become aware of.

7. AI-generated content

Videos, scripts, and voiceovers produced by the service are AI-generated. They may contain inaccuracies, may be incomplete, and may unintentionally resemble existing works. You are solely responsible for reviewing outputs before you use them, and for complying with the rules of any platform where you publish them — including YouTube's disclosure requirements and monetization policies for synthetic or altered content.

8. Availability

The service is provided "as is". Generation depends on third-party AI providers and may occasionally fail, degrade, or change in behavior. We may modify or discontinue features. If a generation fails due to a fault on our side, we restore the consumed credits as described in the refund policy.

9. Termination

  • You can delete your account at any time from the Account page. Deletion removes your projects, uploads, generated videos, and credit balance as described in the Privacy Policy, and cancels any active subscription.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account for material breach of these terms. Where reasonable, we will notify you and give you a chance to remedy the breach first.
  • Sections 5–7 and 10–11 survive termination to the extent applicable.

10. Warranty and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law: we disclaim implied warranties, and our total liability arising out of or related to the service is limited to the amounts you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for how you use generated content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including your mandatory rights under Finnish and EU consumer protection law, which prevail over these terms.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland. If you are an EU consumer, you also keep the protections of the consumer law of your country of residence. You can raise disputes with us first at [SUPPORT EMAIL]; EU consumers may also use the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board or the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. For material changes we will give notice in the app or by email before they take effect. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated terms. The date at the top reflects the latest revision.
